As expected, this was a high quality product. I have purchased multiple products from Acro to develop assays in the past. As usual, purity and quantity was confirmed by our in-house quality control group. We are using this in conjunction with #FO1-H82E2 Biotinylated Human FOLR1 Protein, His Avitag. The product was used successfully in an immunization campaign and will also be used for other in-house assays in the future.

We had to order human folate receptor protein for 100 micrograms unit type for one of our sensitive studies. It was crucial that the product work as intended. We received the product in a timely manner, and the product work as intended for one of our studies. We had previously ordered this product and we made the mistake of ordering the smaller quantity needed. We contacted customer support letting them know that we needed to switch the order to the larger quantity. They were friendly and helpful when resolving this issue. After the switch, the item in question was sent out very quickly and we were able to continue with our study as soon as it arrived.

Received the protein really fast for SPR purposes. Experiments worked out really well with it. We were a little afraid that the His-NTA chemistry will not be a good fit for our work but the protein was truly modified and it really did bind to our sensors really well.

Validated by SPR, measured monovalent affinity, anti-human FC chip, loaded diluted antibody, added diluted Folate R, His tag,with the affinity constant of 0.3 nM.

I ordered human folate receptor alpha from Acro to test it in a variety of assays, including ELISA based interactions and functional folate binding studies. I have tested other folate receptors in the past and none have worked as well as the protein we have internally. Anyone can make a string of amino acids to be used as an antigen, but a functional protein (properly folded) is required for functional studies. Much to my surprise, the Acro protein was functional and bound labeled and unlabeled folic acid in a competitive binding assay, attached. I look forward to testing their other proteins in the future.
